We had a great Open House on Saturday 2/29 when we partnered with Travis Watts Photography. Thank you to all of the families that joined in on the fun. It was a great opportunity for the families to get to know the site staff, see our Hayes Valley location, get involved in hands-on activities that highlighted our March curriculum and the children got their photos taken by Travis.
On February 19, 2020 our SF Hayes Valley location was thrilled to hold our ribbon-cutting ceremony. We were honored to have San Francisco Mayor, London Breed, in attendance to celebrate this special occasion. As a great team building activity, our staff from our Hayes Valley, Nob Hill and San Mateo locations participated in a cooking class on December 16, 2020. They had a great time learning how to make traditional Neapolitan Pizzas. The staff had a great time working together, sharing some laughs, making delicious pizza and it was a fun time had by all. A huge thank you to Chef Phoebe at Cozy Meal for the amazing hospitality.
On Sunday January 26th, L'Academy Language Immersion Preschools had the honor of sponsoring the Lunar New Year Celebration that was hosted by the Millbrae Culture Committee. L'Academy was honored to walk in the parade, get to know the community and participate in such a fun event! Thank you again to the City of Millbrae and the Millbrae Culture Committee for your warm welcome and for allowing us to be apart of the celebration.
On October 10th 2019, L'Academy Preschool San Mateo held their ribbon cutting ceremony. We were honored to welcome Mayor Diane Papan, the San Mateo Daily Journal and the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce to this great event. L'Academy Language Immersion Preschool is excited to become a part of the amazing community of San Mateo.
On Saturday February 7, 2020, L'Academy Language Immersion Preschools hosted a Chinese Lantern Festival Playdate at the Millenium Tower located in San Francisco. It was a great opportunity for future L'Academy families to get to know one another as well as get to know the staff. The children had the opportunity to create Chinese lanterns, play in a Chinese New Year sensory bin, play with blocks, play with playdough and read books about Chinese New Year and the history of the holiday.
