If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday will be observed the Friday before or the Monday after. Please refer to the school calendar for specific closure dates. Note that tuition will be due in full every month irrespective of school closures or holidays.

Director : Sara Garcia
Teacher Sara is an SF native that has been working for over 15 years in the childcare field. She has worked in a variety of roles from teacher assistant to lead, and then gained experience as a supervisor/education leader, now Director. She attended City College of San Francisco gaining credentials in ECE, and majors in Child Development and Behavioral Science and is so excited to join the L’ Academy family and NobHill Team. Her favorite aspect of working in childcare is working with the children and families, providing support, and building relationships. She also enjoys motivating teachers to develop their ideas/ goals and helping them build knowledge of support and guidance for children. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family while on outdoor adventures or attending sporting events.
Teacher : Vivian Dahlstrom
Ms Chih Yu (Vivian) Dahlstrom is our Preschool Lead Teacher. Originally from Taiwan, she moved to the US 4 years ago and completed her master’s degree in
education. Learning through teaching is her educational philosophy she enjoys to learn through the process of teaching. As a teacher, she seeks to find the best way to support and guide for individualized pathways as each child is unique. After exploring teaching different age groups. Ms Vivi found out that she loves to teach Early Childhood the most because when you teach younger kids you can really see how much each child develops. Also, they have so much
creativity and imagination in their minds which makes teaching Early Childhood so much fun!
During her time off, Ms Vivi loves to travel. She has been to many different countries and hope this list continues to grow in the future. Ms Vivi also enjoys outdoor activities and nature, reading, listening to music, and cooking. Her favorite children's book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Teacher: Ivy Huang
Ivy Huang has experience working with children and taking courses in child care. She can speak several languages like Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish. She would like to communicate with children and help them understanding and discovering their advantages and very patient with children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, and she loves to spend time with family exploring nature. She hopes to interact with children and will like to be there for them to guide and help them.
Teacher: Mimi Huang
Mimi Huang started working with L’ Academy as a support teacher and now leads the infant classroom. She had been working with children in China. When she immigrated to San Francisco in 2021, she chose to continue her early childhood education, and career. She respects and understands children and is good at detecting children’s enthusiasm and creativity. She has a cheerful personality and kids love being around her. During her spare time, she likes hiking, listening to music, and reading, especially children’s psychology books. She wants to better understand children’s psychology so she can provide the best learning/growth environment for each child.
Teacher : Sally Bai
Ms Sally Bai immigrated from China. She chose to work with infants and toddlers because she loves seeing their smile and watching them grow every day. She also works as a ceremonial volunteer at her temple.
Ms Sally Bai is excited to learn about each and every child and practice what she has learned in Child Development in her daily work.
