If a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday will be observed the Friday before or the Monday after. Please refer to the school calendar for specific closure dates. Note that tuition will be due in full every month irrespective of school closures or holidays.

Meet our Staff

Regional Director : Selene

Ms. Selene has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2013 as an educator in the classroom, an education coach for teachers and a mentor for college students. She received her B.A degree in Early Childhood Education and her M.A in Organizational Leadership in Education from the University of San Francisco.

As a director in L’Academy, Ms. Selene is dedicated to building a safe learning environment with a well balanced curriculum for all children and she is committed to lead and support our parents, teachers, and the community. Outside of the school, she is a highly talented painter who gravitates towards painting abstract art as well as portraits. Her favorite quote: “I am not born in one corner, for the whole world is my native land”.

Teacher : Sara

Ms. Sara was born in Southern California and raised in many parts of the Midwest! She has been supporting and teaching children from Early Childhood up to 5th grade for almost 7 years. Ms. Sara comes from a big family and is a proud auntie and who loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. Ms. Sara is currently pursuing
her Master degree in education with teaching credentials at the University of San Francisco. Ms. Sara is most interested in studying and learning about different cultures/communities within and outside the U.S. She also deeply enjoys listening, learning, and making music. She is an advocate for the arts, especially in education.“The teacher is of course an artist, but being an artist does not mean that he or she can make the profile, can shape the students. What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves.” - Paul Freire

Teacher : Sierra

Ms. Sierra was born and raised in Ventura, CA. She made the move to San Jose after getting married and falling in love with the area. Ms. Sierra has been teaching in the Early Childhood field for 6 years.

She did competitive cheerleading for 16 years and was able to coach after that which is how she found her love for teaching. Since then Ms. Sierra has been teaching physical education to elementary schools and preschools in the south bay area.

Teacher : Alyssa

Ms. Alyssa was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Ms. Alyssa has been working closely with infants and toddlers for the past 10 years. Ms. Alyssa has a child development certification obtained from De Anza college and is pursuing a degree in education. Ms. Alyssa is dedicated to learning about each and every one of her families in the classroom and building a close relationship with each and every one of you!

I Ms. Alyssa is enjoy cooking, listening to music, being outdoors and spending time with family. She is the oldest of the three girls at home. Her motto to live by when teaching is “ Tell me and I’ll forget; Show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand."

Teacher : Mengmeng (Maya)

Ms. MengMeng (Maya), came from HangZhou, China. She worked as a TV host at the HangZhou Children Channel station prior to immigrating to the U.S. Ms. MengMeng has been working in the ECE field for more than 2 years and is currently working as an infant/Toddler teacher in a Mandarin speaking home daycare in Cupertino. She is very easy going, eager to learn and very responsible as a teacher. Ms. MengMeng is a mother of a 5 years old and she enjoys listening to music, exploring new ideas and spending time with family.

Teacher : Jennifer

Ms. Jennifer Mora ("Miss Jenny'') was born and raised in the San Jose/Santa Clara area. She used to own her own daycare for 5 years. Ms. Jennifer had over 20 experiences with all age groups and is truly enjoying teaching in this field. Ms. Jennifer also taught professional figure skating, many of her previous students are still active in the sports field. She is passionate about building a safe and loving environment for the children because she believes our children are the beginning of the future!
