Regional Director : Selene
Ms. Selene has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2013 as an educator in the classroom, an education coach for teachers and a mentor for college students. She received her B.A degree in Early Childhood Education and her M.A in Organizational Leadership in Education from the University of San Francisco.
As a director in L’Academy, Ms. Selene is dedicated to building a safe learning environment with a well balanced curriculum for all children and she is committed to lead and support our parents, teachers, and the community. Outside of the school, she is a highly talented painter who gravitates towards painting abstract art as well as portraits. Her favorite quote: “I am not born in one corner, for the whole world is my native land”.

Teacher : Mengmeng (Maya)
Ms. MengMeng (Maya), came from HangZhou, China. She worked as a TV host at the HangZhou Children Channel station prior to immigrating to the U.S. Ms. MengMeng has been working in the ECE field for more than 2 years and is currently working as an infant/Toddler teacher in a Mandarin speaking home daycare in Cupertino. She is very easy going, eager to learn and very responsible as a teacher. Ms. MengMeng is a mother of a 5 years old and she enjoys listening to music, exploring new ideas and spending time with family.
Teacher : Jennifer
Ms. Jennifer Mora ("Miss Jenny'') was born and raised in the San Jose/Santa Clara area. She used to own her own daycare for 5 years. Ms. Jennifer had over 20 experiences with all age groups and is truly enjoying teaching in this field. Ms. Jennifer also taught professional figure skating, many of her previous students are still active in the sports field. She is passionate about building a safe and loving environment for the children because she believes our children are the beginning of the future!
Teacher : Megan
Miss. Megan has a B.A. in Technical Theatre and an M.Ed. in Community Arts, with a focus in theatre.
Miss Megan has been teaching for over ten years, spanning from using theatre in the classroom to teaching children about computers and circuitry after school to creating unique curriculum that encourages toddlers to thrive developmentally. In her free time, Miss Megan enjoys lounging with her two cats and dog, catching fun musicals that come to town, and crafting!
Teacher: Ms Nara
Ms. Nara was born in Brazil. She has always been passionate about teaching since she was little. With a degree in Educational Technology, she uses various technique and tools to help children to learn through hands-on activities. Ms. Nara has been teaching in the field of Early Childhood for 10 years.
Outside of school, Ms. Nara is a mother and a devoted teacher for teaching technology for adults. We are excited to have Ms. Nara with us at L'Academy!
Teacher : Linda
Ms. Linda Gallo, was born in Colombia. She has been a teacher for children, youth and adults for more than 22 years. She is a scenic artist and storyteller for children in different countries of Latin America and Spain. She is a bilingual teacher in Spanish and English. Linda, applies strategies from art, dance, body expression, storytelling, among others to help children and young people in the development of their social, cognitive, emotional and educational skills. Passionate about creating sensitive and creative experiences, giving children spaces for expression and development of their being in love and awareness with the planet. Her credentials as a Licentiate in Fine Arts in Colombia and with a PH.D in Education and Specialization in Design of Playful Activities with the University of LaSalle Costa Rica. Her favorite quote is "All the most important learning in life is done by playing" Francesco Tonucci.
Teacher : Lisa
Ms. Lisa was born in Taiwan. Her major was law during her college years before moving to the bay area. As an assistant of legal personnel, Ms. Lisa was engaged in research-related work and audit-related work in the medical center. After moving to the United States in 2019, Ms. Lisa has the chance to explore her new passion in teaching. She received her certification in Early Childhood Education in 2020 and has been teaching children from age 2 and up in a dual language immersion environment for almost 3 years.
