11/5/2021

We're seeing many pre-planned activities like concerts, festivals, playtime, sports events, summer camps, storytimes, and other gatherings being canceled or rescheduled. Events across the globe have been canceled or postponed because of the spread of the novel coronavirus and parents are struggling to find ways to keep their children happy and entertained. We have a few suggestions how to spend some fun and quality time with your family this summer:

  • Play tourist for a day and ride the carousel at Pier 39.
  • Make it a park day, there are tons of parks in San Francisco like Hilltop Park or Dolores Park.
  • There is more to Monterey then the aquarium. Find out all the best spots there and in nearby Carmel and Pacific Grove when you road trip down south.
  • Bay Area shows, activities go virtual during COVID-19 shutdown.
  • Experience the best of Northern California in one place when you escape to the Half Moon Bay Coastside.

If you feel more comfortable staying at home there are still plenty of things you can do and have fun. For example:

  • Plan a day at the virtual museum.
  • If you need an at-home activity that's both fun and educational, consider gardening.
  • If you have a backyard consider doing a messy art project.
  • Kids love to play with water and it's a great learning experience. Click here for some fun and easy water play ideas.
  • Stay active and go for a walk.
